Been going out a lot, to a point even I just wanna stay home and do nothing.

I don't know why i go out. Wait I do, but that's not the point!

But been playing more sports since the 3 on 3 basketball tourney last sat, and glad to say it rekindled my passion for playing again. Plus I gotta shed some fats, and pack in more packs to make me look good, okok, no, just no, don't comment on what i just type. Darn it.

Been more outgoing (yay?), meeting people is kinda fun, especially people you usually don't associate with much, because it just seems weird, but just got home from football with bunch of junior ex-seaportians (my former high school), and they were kinda cool, kinda sort of reconciled with one, whom didn't really have a good history with my circle of friends, i'm pointinng at you Mr. Ong, haha, kidding, actually not, erm, just thought it'd be great that as bro's and sis' in Christ we can fellowship as equals.

These past two weeks, i learned that the world is more than superficial, it really is a hellhole on earth, passing by many people on the roads, that i could safely assume didn't hear once about Christ, and what do we do? Indulge in things that we adorn ourselves with, making big deal of other churches who are in conflict with what we practice. Petty petty stuff, if a kingdom is divided among itself, how will it stand?

Argh, the bliss of balancing life and priorities.

Played 3 on 3, totally unfit, lost 2 rounds, and we decided to call it quits and head for lunch! SUPER hungry hahaha

Then the following days were met with sleepiness due to lack of sleep, duh, ps3 with friend at wee hours of the morning, followed by church then 1u outing to meet friend who came back from public uni. Tiring tiring.

No, not emo!

Monday had farewell for Paul, aiyo, he left couple hours ago, sad la! another friend left, been a great blessing la he, will miss him and hope he will do well in his future endeavors.

Today really really tired, went basketball, but legs gave way, went home slept like mad.

Then WJS took 2 of us out to KL jalan alor to makan, the living statue guy (from my earlier posts) was present to! so cool la he, really darn cool lor.

Then went pavillion walk walk, first time there for me, so jakun ler

then had gelato!

Then bangsar for a drink hehe

We're on a "seafood" diet.

Went to watch Broadway Parodies Lagi Lah!
Here is my thoughts on it:

First up, super enjoyable and was thoroughly funny!!!! I went in expecting to be a bit bored because i don't know a lot of broadway music, but even so, the well written Malaysian style lyrics was good and fresh! It was funny because you can relate to it. It made fun of our culture, our eating habits, the way we eat food, the whole shopping mall concept, the Jabatan working habits, the whole superstitious thing and how we like to scold people.

All in all, great fun, definitely worth the money we paid for.

Of course, not everything can be perfect, i felt that certain songs were tad bit boring and draggy that killed the pacing of what should be a very ultra dynamic kind of show. Inidividually, the cast sang very very well, mostly clear and good pronunciation, well injected humor and high production values. But when they collectively come and sing together, i don't know if it is just my hearing and all, but i cannot get certain words or stuff they say, the blending was ok, but could have been better.

The dance tapping in one of their numbers was fantastic and enjoyable to watch, the songs that rhymed really well was pleasant to the ears. The persona the cast donned were spot on and definitely should be given credit for.

Post event, managed to talk to most of the cast, and they were super friendly and were really really fun to be with, and so humble.

Not like when i watch Love and Beauty last week, got a RUDE lady who have this DIVA attitude and sort of raised her voice just because we were lacking of space to sit, so we had to squeeze a lil, she killed the mood of watching the play.

Bottomline:

WATCH IT!! WATCH BROADWAY PARODIES LAGI LAH!
Only up till this sunday! Really, it's spot on funny and witty!
Ask others!

PS: Met Colin Kirton, apparently Footstool players doing a production in KLPac soon, must go watch it!

"In who's face now?"

No, seriously, here are my thoughts.

Pre-camp:

Had tutorial at 8 30 am, which i mistook the time as 8 am, so went there too early, lugging by luggage around Wisma HELP, crazy heavy, i packed as light as i could ler..

Then class at 11 am, that was alright but feeling the pinch of sleepiness....

Went to lower foyer of main block, long story short, me and a couple others ended up in the van instead of in the bus with the majority of them, because not enough space, and i didn't mind, i went to camp in mind of being a bit anti-social, i just needed time for myself to think things through.

So sat with Paul, Justin, along with two others from taylor's, and couple others in front with the speaker and driver.
Had a good conversation, knowing of course the new people in the van, nice people, Jo and J-tsen, seems quite ok, of course wonder if they think nice of us or me, since i talked the most crap, apparently it's a form of defense mechanism, according to lectures..

Most of got sick 'cause the van drove quite fast and it was swirly and twirly and *blech*

Camp day 1:

Unpacked, had dinner and i hadn't had any appetite, don't know why, i like the quietness when no one is around, so i went to the hall to play some guitar, fun!

had session, but i found no real draw into the sermon, a good reminder, but i guess i craved something something deeper, started the angels mortals game, which i really dread...

Camp day 2:

Traded sleep with morning prayers, which i found was a sensible trade! I couldn't much remember what we did ler

Speaking of mental stimulation, asides from speaker (Which was really none at all), Mel did asked me some questions pertaining to things the speaker spoke about and things that occurred in camp, hehe, as much as i may say a lot about reluctantly answering her questions, i am actually grateful for it, because it made me wanna read my bible more and i got a bit of the camp high from the sessions we had. So thanks, if you're reading this!

Apart from that, honestly love hanging out with Isaac Ng, he is one of the most down to earth guy i known, i never hesitate to intro him to any one or any girls, i even told him to my church elder, he is that nice =)

Talked to others too, but well, can't say much really, a lot of people read this blogs, so i am deluded to believe la haha, so may not go well and may stumble people..

But i do tell if you ask me face to face =p

Prac for performance night, first time i choreographing so many dance moves, it was alright, but i fear it may not go well with the audience, since i have low self esteem in that area.

Well had games, physical ones, Isaac Chee la, dumbass, comes up with games which i dislike! haha, i mean, i lazy ler, hahaha

Then we had this pairing thing going on, i was paired up with a girl and another guy, so it was ok, i had my striped t-shirt, which i bought a plain tee from Giant and use marker to colour stripes on it, i thought it was quite funny, and i acted like a dumbass too anyway..which was fun, take my mind off things, blend in, to be a bit normal.

with Paul and Nigel, which i thought was funny and fun, since we cracked our heads to write the poems for our mortals, hehe, didn't do stupid things like that for a long time now.

Then had our performance, suffice to say it went well, but i was so tired, followed by the BGR session which i thought was a huge waste of time...

Camp day 3:
Shifted the whole instrument downstairs 'cause the management needed it for meetings.
Fixed up everything and sound tested each equipment, that was super fun, achieving the desired sound was sooo fun, that it sounded soooo good when worship started, praise to God for moving us to set up the way it will go well, enjoyed my time there.

Then sermon, then lunch, then we jammed, or sort of, to improve worship songs for later sessions, and it was good, we blended and we gel well. Wish could do that some more. but we had to shift the instruments back upstairs, was so against it since the sound was already well done, but the leaders said otherwise, so a bit tak puas and shifted it back upstairs.

Treausre hunt, could have won, but we took the wrong super clue and stuff, but we got 3rd, my group!

Then home we went!

For some of us actually, 'cause monday had class!

Things i gathered:
- Fellowship was really good, to a few individuals, especially a few individuals who made this camp a good camp, the weather was nice.
- Felt apart from everyone else at times, but it didn't really bothered me, i always knew i wasn't there to be a part of a group, but to be there for God and to motivate people to get along.
- I love music, my guitar and jamming. Gonna have a jam session soon!
- Some people really are just weird and off, forgive forgive, i know i have been jerks to a few people too.

Things i regretted:
- not knowing most people there, i went there as i said to be a bit anti-social, but i should have take effort, so now on msn, making effort to chat with most people.
- Angel mortal game; too much competition, i cannot keep up, i hate that game.


That's about it, i don't know i can't put down thoughts into words..about camp..
by the time i can may be too late.

Anyway, tons of things happened post camp, still feeling high.. will save it for another day =)

2) The lights out! crappy nya, it's camp, we suppose to partay!! I DID NOT HAVE MY STAR GAZING SESSION!!

Post Camp Syndrome

Back from another HELP Cf Camp

well, lotsa things i learned and to be happy about, though the sermon didn't do for me much, but still, i had a good time

and beds were comfy.

Will blog soon, sure everyone else will too.

Then, now.

So, i went to places to celebrate yet another friend's birthday. Well, suffice to say, i found out a few things concerning myself that are somewhat good in a sense. Can't share much though, too many eyes in this blog MUAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, people leaving, physically, is a pain, i remember a year where i had to attend so many funerals, i think my heart darkened. As Lifehouse puts it, "we're not gonna live forever, can you tell me is it now or never? I'm not gonna make up your mind. I don't live without you, i don't wanna live a lie, we'll never know till we try."

Sometimes life just places you in a safe zone, and it sucks, because in a safe zone is where the comfort is, where we are in control, afraid of trying something new is always a sure way to make sure time waste you in this lifetime.

Get up, do something new, do something you never did before, of course, with respect to God and the law.

Don't look back in anger or regret.

I think it's a very nice name, but that is besides the point! I am referring to the movie:
Penelope!

Awesome stuff! It gave me the Big Fish kinda feel, fantasy-ish but done in a pleasant fun way. No, it is not like Big Fish, but the feel, for me at least.

Wiki tells me this movie has been shown since 2006, wow 2 years ago, but nevertheless it is nice!
Currently only showing in TGV, so better catch it while it is up! No, it is so not a chick flick, but rather a nice pleasant film, watch it watch it watch it watch it.

It started off a nice day with lunches with JC and his friend. Then moving on to more exciting part of the day, met with P, where i had 2nd round of lunch and cendol and rojak, hmmmmm!

Then invitation to watch this movie by M, who also invited M, went to 1u meet up with some friends, then with K to meet them at TGV, so there we were, 5 of us, M&M, P, K and yours truly.
Bought tix to the evening show and off we went in, cinema was DEAD empty, like literally no one else man.. So we were monkeying around in the cinema, hanging our legs 'cause no one is there, and switching seats according to our preference.

Then walked in a female specimen, and we kinda took over her seat, so she sat elsewhere, i made some small talk with her, found out she is:
1. Uni of Melbourne grad
2. Currently lepaking

okok, that was pretty much it and then came the commercials, first up was a weird Thai movie called Chocolate Fury, no i am not kidding, probably because she ate chocolate and was kickass deadly, oh, and furious too. Fight scenes looks cool.

Then followed by others and others, then finally the movie!

I thought the movie was sweet and as i said, kinda fantasy-ish, but not extreme fantasy. So it's cool, in case you hate fantasy.

It's about a cursed family line that made a girl (no spoilers) different, and how she manged through a life which no men wanna be with her. Till came James Mcavoy, oh my, he is good ler, he is so different from the movie Wanted. He can act and portrayed the character, i actually felt sorry for the guy and wanted to kinda give him support, but i did it silently, in case others (means just us and that female ler) think me crazy if they had not thought it before.

Of course we knows how movies end, no major major twist, just that it was a nice fun twist towards the end. All in all, plenty to laugh at, plenty to feel nice inside, also fun to have good company to watch with =)

i end with this thought, ok better not, 'cause i think it sums up the whole movie.

Anyway full day, but eventful one =)

Interestingly, BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and church sermon were both heavily focused on marriage.

It sorta like those things when i was younger and more passionate for God, God would tie in lots of things with Sunday sermons. for me, and i would remember it for quite awhile, and apply it.

But this, is different.

Marriage?!?

HAHAHAHA.

Oh well, don't think God wants me married now, but prep ler, as all you guys out there should.

Lastly, here is Boyzone with Everyday I Love You, so this entry sorta ties in with this video, i random, i know =)

5. cut off one strap and carry it like a sling bag.

8. Throw away your schoolbag, carry a girl you like punya schoolbag, it is wayyyyy lighter than you come to expect.

Went to this play last Friday, about the education system and how most of it seems to be in conflict with some of the things we are trying to achieve as a nation. It is a good perspective (a humorous one) and angle the director took to let us view what our schools are sometimes doing to our kids and of course it interacts with whatever goes on at home too, how our conservative thinking sometimes gets in the way of progress.

All in all, i thought it was a good solid play, interesting direction, interesting setup, interesting positions of actors and actresses alike and accurate timing for puns and one liners.

It was very enjoyable, this is nothing like After Our's, but too bad today was the last day, glad i caught it. I guess living here in this coutnry with so many races just ain't easy. What with all the differences, and how generations of prejudice and biasness seeps through our minds unknowingly. (For alternative reviews, see Tien Ming's Blog entry.)

But as today's sermon puts it, we are all made in the image of God, and we were knitted in our mother's womb by the Almighty Creator, and His ways are perfect, so everyone do have a purpose, everyone has something to be appreciated of, and many a times our differences are the ones that make us complete one way or another, compliment us and supplement us.

I feel today's sermon was good and tied in with many happenings this week.

Speaking of today's sermon, it was super fun and interesting, this elderly couple shared the sermon, and gave it together, somewhat they just seem to connect so well, with many jokes and things that just seems funny yet true. They talked about marriage, and how initial attractions becomes an irritation when you marry, and how to convert those irritations into something that complements you and supplements you. Very very interesting, i wouldn't know or experience any of it, but at least it was something fun to listen to.


Yesterday was also Shannon's 21st birthday celebration, though his birthday comes later in the week. Party was awesome no thanks to party planner.

Ok kididng, party planner is cool, don't kill me please.

Had to ffk Asian Beacon dinner, but totally worth it, haven't had fun in a party for quite awhile now!

It's great to meet people who influenced your life or was part of it, great to catch up with peeps who were MIA in my life hohoho.

And not to mention eye candies, and food!!

All in all, it was a good party, with plenty of chats and meet ups and food, and games of Mafia, which i totally got killed every 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Interesting to know that most people's lives just going into a different direction than yours, but when you were clad in high school uniforms, everyone just seem the same, guess we all are growing up one way or another, and i am glad we all are different. =)

Happy Birthday Shannon!! Glad to have known you, brother.

This is soooooooo cool!! I mean, i never seen a live one in KL before, any one has any idea what this art from is called? The man (Foreigner) literally paints himself silver, except a small part behind his head, where is it visible that he did not paint his neck a lil, and his hair. But he is sooooo cool. I mean, yea i'm like schoolboy excited when seeing Ultraman live on stage!

He really was as still as a statue, and crowds gathered to see this person, urm, er... perform.



I appreciate this kind of art, so i gave him couple of ringgits for his effort, and when someone gives money, he utters, "cool"
how cool is that?!?!

OH took opportunity to grab a pic with him, and he posed! whee! so fun yea!
I guess KL should really have more arts such as these, i mean, i can't pay for a ticket to go US just to see such stuff, or anywhere else outside m'sia, unless i got rich gf, argh!

ON the other hand, whoever got baby or children clothes to donate, please buzz me, i need it for a mission trip! toys welcome too!

Dad also pushing me to get a DSLR, so if anyone got good recommendation, budget about 2k onwards i guess? still scouting, please also buzz!

By Golly, you're 51?!?

So today marks the 51st Indepedence Day for M'sia. And what a long way we came from whence we first started.

Well, there are a lot of thoughts going around, oh did you know this year's theme is "Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan" which translate into: Unity is the core of success.

It talks about the irony of people in M'sia, and it's funny and real at the same time, we contradict ourselves way too many times, and we complain so much but gets nothing done!

Did you know we are also in the CIA website? well, its a factbook hehehe, i digress.

I guess even as screwed up this country is, it is still a country i love and adore, and God placed me here for a reason. And for that i wanna live to my fullest potential to serve God in this place.

Yesterday i went for a rally for national day, and we sang the national anthem, these kids (unfortunately they are christians - when i say unfortunately, i mean they should have acted better) were talking on the phone, talking to each other while the song was being sung! i terasa and hushed them, i think no matter how you hate living in this place, please show some respect, after that they played with their cellphones for most part of the rally.

Are we slacking in the teaching of the Lord's word where we can take for granted, it is easier to just say things and not doing anything about it.

If you want this country changed, pray, pray with all you got, maybe if you stop complaining and actually look at the country for what it is, and what God is doing, maybe you will catch on God's fire and be part of His plan =)

After Our's: Review

In light of Siehjin's comment, i decided i owe it to the christian sector and the public a proper review of the play, which basically just mean what i thought of it.

After Our's deal with the sexual encounters of several people and the things that followed after, it was somewhat controversial and representative of today's culture (even though we may claim that we are conservative, but i really think these are true events going on even if we care to admit or not).

It started with having pre-marital sex, one act which i do not condone! And to make it worse, the girl lied to the mother and stuff like that, all revolving lies, deceit and cover ups, just so to preserve the "purity" notion have about us.

Then it went on with several more scenarios, all mostly random sexual encounters and how different people deal with the different problem at hand.

I feel it was somewhat well written, though of course random encounters is a big NO NO in my books and i strongly urge that those who are watching it keep an open mind yet be wary that these are not things God allowed us to do before marriage. It is not somehting to imitate nor something that one should be boastful about, but rather they are offering a perspective in drama acting so that we can see the world as it is, but not be a part of it.

I believe Jesus didn't mean for us to be living as a collective Christian culture ignoring the world, but just not conforming to it, as Siehjin did put it in his blog post, Jesus did mixed with tax collectors, prostitutes and other profession that weren't consider noble by the societies standards. So i believe to we should not be ignorant, sticking to just our own Christian safe houses, but break forth towards the world outside of church and CF, and be a loving friend to every person, remember hate the sin not the sinners.

So yes, the play was good, but still, i repeat, not something i would do or condone. It is art to be appreciated and provoke our conservative mind, it is better to learn it through a stage play than to experience it first hand with no turning back. So take it from me, it is only a few more days and the play will be over, so get a chance to watch to get insights, but if you are weak at heart or your faith may be stumbled, avoid it, or watch it with someone who is spiritually strong.

DON'T HAVE PRE-MARITAL SEX!! JUST DON'T.

After (H)our's?

Sunday, went for Sis' convocation after playing for Sunday worship, the LRT ride there was long and arduous, saw a few having bouquets of flowers, i guess they must be heading to the same place - Wisma MCA in Jalan Ampang.

Reached there right on the dot but didn't know where the place was, so mom had to direct me a couple of times, and i ran like idiot till i found the place, then proceeded to the 2nd floor where the convocation was held.

Place really was packed with people, mostly people in funny looking knee length socks, and funny hairdos that were typical of most students from my sister's uni. But some of them are pretty =p

Anyway, long long speeches and chinese songs were performed, i missed my sis' name being called =(

who ask her get 1st class huh?? Then if she 3rd class i wouldn't have missed it! *$^!%^*%^

Anyway, we took a couple of shots and went to lunch! buffet style, but sadly the food was normal and not that tasty!

Come tuesday, again with almost the same people, went to KLPac one more to watch a play, this time titled After Our's, it's some play about couples, different ones, having sexual encounters and how different problems pops up and how they went about it, interesting, but there were moments that was boring, but the message was good, may be slightly controversial, but hey, this isn't Air-Cond HAHAHA (joke reference not available). Overall it was a good laugh, thought provoking, and the actors was good, actresses was good AND hot, man, as one of my friends put it, this will be our normal activity in the days to come, it was affordable too! and unfiltered, so it's something you don't see on TV. Yeap.There are most of the cast from the play. =) talented!

I guess overall, time is passing me by, but at least it is filled with things to do, next week start uni again! whee!

Just having a bad mood now.

Anywho, been awhile, probably a lot of readers thought i abandoned this blog.
Well i didn't!

Let's roll all the way back to last Tuesday:

Justin and I, fetched by Terrence made our way to The Curve where we made silly jokes and met up with Josh, then he brought us to this freaking chili hot food restaurant which had us burning literally red, ok maybe not literally, but Justin was like tomato man!
Then we watched You Don't Mess With the Zohan, but we came an hour earlier, due to misunderstanding on someone's part (hehe), we hung around, looking at people, because people are fun to look at, really they are, especially the erm, well, erm, forget it. (i'm straight by the way, don't guess otherwise!)

Before the show, Advertlets had some contest about hair uniqueness and why participants should win the prize, i, of course with one of the laziest hairstyle did not went out, but Josh did, and a whole bunch of others, alas, he did not win, and people who went out, well, they shouldn't have won in my opinion, i think the ultra LALA people should win, given they really probably have no other purpose in life than to dress up the way they do hahahaha, no i am just not kidding.

Overall, the show was funny to me, though Justin disagreed, they censored too many jokes, and i personally felt it they WANTED to put 18-PL, please MAKE it 18-PL, not as if by that age people still clueless about most things. I hope not.

Wednesday with Christine and Justin and Rach and Tien Ming and his friend went to KLPac to see Short+Sweet Malaysia, my oh my, it was awesome as well, very funny, some quite original and even controversial, but it was good, i guess being berkultur is good, muahahaha. Joanna performed, and she was good =)

Thrusday went lunch with TKH and Keren, watched Mirrors, starring Jack Bauer, hop over to here for a full summary of what we did on that day. Jack Bauer or the minority of the world's population refer him as Kiefer Sutherland, was AWESOME, though the show got bad reviews, but i think it was good, well as Keren puts it, we were kinda watching 24: The Reflection, WHY OH WHY DOES 24 HAVE TO BE NEXT YEAR?!!!

Friday Jeff came back! meet up, and it was good, always nice to have nice and good friend to rely on, and rarely or never disappoint you, good fun, oh did you know we were friends since form 1, and we sat with each other since form 3 till form 6? No, you did not have to know that, but i wanted to tell anyway, it's my blog HAHA.

Saturday woke up extra early for basketball, i am soooo out of shape, played till 12 pm, and then church, and went 1u with a few fellas.

Sunday, woke up with body aching, went to church, and slept the afternoon off! yes! very nice, went to Canton-i with family for dinner, expensive and pointless, please, i personally think you should not go, try Fish & Co. instead.

Monday went to 1u bought Genting bus tickets!

Tuesday we went to Genting! yes! Oh, erm, i don't wanna blog about what happened there =) but it was good!

Wednesday, saw Wall-E, very very nice show, i think, pixar's best. the animated short was old-school and hilarious!

Phew, that's all, can't believe about a week plus and i am back in uni! The institute of metaphorical prison! Muhahahahaha

Well Senthil officially left this morning, we had BBQ for him on Friday night, just a few of us made it and we did some really really last minute shopping, even the BBQ pit we bought one hour before the thing, heroes aren't we all.

Oh we had the good manners to call Daniel and NieNie, but they both FFK-ed all of us after saying they would turn up, terrible! i tell you, terrible! Not to say they were very far away, i didn't expect it, ultra disappointed.

More disappointing was Naresh!! Whom he said will show up as well, and he is WAYYY nearer than the other two ffk-ers. Man, if say come, come la! haiyo, we bought so much food ok! terrible!

Anywho, we startetd about 7 pm:

But the charcoals were hard, but he had a hammer, ah, there goes the logic! brain explode!

Soon, we had it going, others started showing up and it was a good time of fellowshipping, despite the small number, i think it was a good time =)

Went back home past 12 am, slept at maybe 2 or 3 am? That also because of the reported haze, got this lurking burning smell, man, it was horrible!
6 46 am, got a call from my uni cf president, i was supposed to wake up at 5 50 am, but i guess i slept late and missed the alarm, so i thought my turn to FFK, but she insisted i came, so i got ready and off we were to the 2008 BK quiz held in CHS.

Invigilated, thanks to NieNie last year, someone remembered me, but up till now i have no idea who, and APPARENTLY requested for me to come help out, i did, in my sleepy state, one room asked how old i was, they guessed 18, i said no, then came 19, i said no, then i fled, oh no! Am i THAT OLD????

anyway here is my classroom that i helped invigilate, hey, i don't have much to do, God is watching, it is a BK Quiz, please, if they were to cheat, it is watched by someone way higher than me.



Then i had youth where we played rugby, sort of, learning to play =)
then went to Malacca with my cf president for a birthday party, unfortunately we got lost, and ended up being late, thus staying awhile, but get to meet very very nice people =)
then went home, 1 40 am only i reached home, sigh, long long day, following day church and time of rejuvenation! yay!

lastly, i leave you with two of my friends, they got nothing better to do but to converse with one another through their cell phones, while they are sitting on the same table! man SOME friends i got, i tell you, i am the only normal one around!

Anyway, supposed to meet mum and sis at 1u for dinner, unfortunately, was too jammed, so we decided to cancel, went McD's by myself instead there for dinner quite sad case, think other table people laughed at me like how i laughed at them,

got some passes to see Chris live! well, there are... well girls and free concert, of course i took his offer for the free pass!

so, went outside, the line was crazy long!!! seriously, the line was from the open area in front of Ms Read
till Ms Read! that also not a straight line. Tents were built, to cover, and seems like an event by Sony Ericsson.

So met up with friend and his friend, then we went in lepak a little, wow, the place was ok, quite a lot of eye candies, hehehehe, especially the Tuborg girls! well, quite alright la they all hahah, not like i can take any of them! hehe

it drizzled, friend then went to Fish and Co. to have the BEST fish and chips in town! met up with a few more friends of my friend, quite a company, then the concert apparently started, alerted by another friend of my friend. So we went, we just walked around, crowd were pouring in, unfortunately (to me that is) it was a local act, followed by Daniel Lee!! no no, i'm not excited at all, just erm, well, i don't think his songs appeal to me, they a bit lala, hehee, he sang 3 songs some more! time for toilet, my friend and his friend wanted to go, portable ones!

Then went to the VIP area, hehehe, not sure can or not, but we did, got pizzas, finger food, drinks, seat, and quite an elevated view of the stage.

9 30 pm ( it started at 7 pm, supposedly, but it only started like an hour plus later) 3 Dj's went up stage and played some turn table stuff and trance stuff, i think, not my kind, kinda like clubbing! for an hour! with people dancing on stage, BORING, to me at least, sigh, after that, they spent like half an hour setting up stage equipments! that also the sound is really quite bad.
the band was awesome, the sound system wasn't erm, international standards?

11 pm +

Chris finally shows up!! without any greeting (because according to my friend, only an hour left to perform) he straight played a few of his songs which i could not recognized, not a big fan.

But he is good! really really, might i add even better than his recorded stuff, and REAL loud.
But good, he lost a bit of charm and breath in It feels like Tonight!
He did his famous songs, like I got over you, Home etc.
He did a rock song for his last number, and there, it was over! GOOD experience! Free some more!

OH OH OH, i saw Stephanie Chai, whom i admire for the Rejoice commercial few years back!
And also Jojo Struys! Oh man, she looks way better than in TV. i first saw her in Kopitiam. the hit tv series filmed locally, and i thought she looks normal or not chun, but she proved me wrong throughout the years!
yay! for the experience.

Still i think we spent too much time with Christians, today was good because of the company i hung out with, not that i talked much to them, but at least they are of a different world, not to put us any higher, because we are not, but there is so much to do, and we got a responsibility to do so =)

A lot of people surrounding me are working, so it makes me wonder what i am gonna do after i graduate!

in Human Resource, most psych grads would go there logically, but loads of paper work? and cubicle-ing??

a traveler, well, since my elder sister is working now, she can take care of the family, i go wander wherever the wind blows, yup, that be mighty fine, i could go to Niagara Falls and do a David Copperfield there, i could go to Egypt and make my carve my face, it is like Jumper minus the jumping.

And how so many so called journals on videogames promotes aggression are published?

Right, like most of us, we all too lazy to watch a 6 minute video ON something we LOVE..

so here i summarized it in my own words:

1. The so called journals published are misinformed, to paraphrase Ms Winnee, she said that we must not always believe media reported findings and results, instead look for how they ran their research, what they did then find out their conclusion, in other words, read up the ORIGINAL journal.
2. The people in the video said that journals claiming videogames do promote aggression often find psych undergrads to be their participants, with extra credit (just like ours) as reward. Now they let them play some aggressive videogames, then ask them to shoot some balloons, just because the participants shoots longer than control group, then they say its promoting aggressions.
3. But its true, huh? Oh, i mean, short term wise we do get aggressive, don't we? we watch some cool matrix kinda shows, then we come out saying we wanna slow mo whack people, same concept. After awhile, it wears off.
4. There are two extremes to this research in the video, one is boys who play 15 hours of violent videogames per day will have agrression level elevated, and the other extreme is those who do not play at all! ha!
5. Those who play videogames often like parents to join in and share the fun, promoting good values =)

Yup, thats the summary i got, but do watch the 6 minute video, interesting, got one or two facts i probably missed out.

Well, now that gamings are somewhat not as what it seems relating to aggression. =)
Sometimes its fun to be a researcher.

Edit: One more fact i missed out was that the research in the video was financed by the US Department of Justice, about Million dollars or more =)

GF Thoughts,,

Sigh! yea, talking bout gf, it can be quite depressing ya know..

they can make you down, and cry and ake you feel like you are the worst person in the world,

sometimes you just wanna let go and live ya own single life, no guilt, no shame, none of it!!!

Gf can be frustrating, they demand so much of you inside out, and they remind you of your flaws and how you can't reverse what you have done, it sucks big time!!!

Oh wait, for those uninitiated, gf actually stands for Good Friday.

it makes you feel like shit, knowing that it was you He went through all this,
it is depressing, and it sometimes make us cry, to know that we are to be blamed.

Yet above all, we rejoice because He has risen, so yea, sometimes gf is there to remind us of the sacrifice, but it is a better reminder that now we have the love and light, hope that Jesus will come again one day unknown to us, and we have a responsibility to let others have the same chance like we did to know Him..

Well, some of you know i am a pro-freudian... for those who don't know who the legendary Sigmund Freud is.....well too bad =p
Even those a lot of his theories are questionable, and no longer in use, it is undeniable he is AWESOME

i believe in subconscious, or unconscious, the id, ego and superego (ok all gonna sound gibberish if you DON'T read up first!)

It's like he touched upon a subject where it is God-related, the id, ego and superego is kinda like the Holy Spirit, but only the id is our flesh, the superego is our Christian mentality of God's unachievable standard, and the Holy Spirit is the ego.

Of course it is not a direct comparison, so you can stop typing the condemning comments now, Christians. (haha =p)

our flesh almost always win, when we're hungry, we eat, thirsty, we drink, sleepy, we sleep and it goes on. Little do we know, sometimes these things pull us away from God, when we satisfy, we let the flesh overpower the Spirit, and we tend to slack and be complacent (note: speaking from my point of view and not implying everyone is like me),


so sometimes we fast, and when we do, we rely on God for strength to overcome our flesh desires, and so in a sense uplifts the Spirit.
Ok, i may sound so theologically wrong, all i'm trying to say is that don't be complacent =)

Been lepaking! wait, i mean working!!!! at TGCM's sister punya uncle punya sister punya youngest daughter's house. 3 nights, 3 nights!!!!!!! 1 night slept on the couch,, 1 nights balik at 2 30 am!!! following morning woke up at 7 am to go uni whole day and now i am here again doing work!!
argh!!

total hours of sleep in 48 hours = < 8 hours!!!!

i now shall attempt to write a poem at the top of my head to commemorate this project hours!! (Also when i blog good stuff people complain, haiyo, you people hard to please la, not that i want to, just ranting la !)

Post Election (Off) Thoughts

Thoughts that ran through my mind concerning elections:

- Some young voters are , hmm, lost. They only absorb certain facts and then based on those facts vote.
- Who the heck are you to tell me who to vote for? Those pesky msn people keep asking me to vote for a certain party, as friends, let me just say it kindly : SCREW YOURSELF. hahahahahahaha, ok i probably wouldn't say that, but i would say : It's my right to vote for whoever, not yours, back off.
- Yes, certain political party really screwed our country over, but you think the other parties won't screw us just as much? My goodness, stop portraying one party as the devil and the other god, gosh, its becoming idolatry.
- For those who blogged and scolded people such as me who failed to register in time, and say i am not responsible for my country etc etc, you're right, you are awesome, you have every right to cast the first stone because you are flawless =))
- Who is taking down those freakin' banners, flags and fliers from the streets?? Especially my street!!!
- Oh yea, sure, spend all those resources on the election but leave poor girl who got kidnapped alone, i think i didn't see the girl's poster anywhere now, hmm, hope you feel great by not helping!
- oh oh oh, i'm sure you Christians feel good leaving God out of the elections, oh wait you didn't? Ok, my mistake, yeap, God specifically told YOU to vote a certain party and asking YOU to tell others to vote for the same party, wow, you're definitely getting a REAL BIG HOUSE in heaven.
I'm sure you prayed over and over for His will to be done, and for Him to pick the best suited people in the election, yeap, i'm sure you did your part!!

These people have a life way more difficult than you'll ever know, and their parents are even more amazing...
